Origin & Story

Origin & Story

Sable grew up running rooftops in the Undercity's fourth alley, where a mysterious, faintly playful reputation kept her more alive than any blade could — people underestimate a face that still looks like it belongs to someone's little sister. She carries a pair of duskblades, short enough to hide in a sleeve but long enough to finish an argument, somewhere between a dagger and a shortsword by design.Players first meet her mid-heist, dangling upside down from a chandelier with a grin, and one blade already drawn before anyone noticed she was in the room.

✦ DESIGN NOTES ✦

Sable needed to feel like a contradiction on purpose — the roundness of her face, the shoulder-length cut of her hair, even her stance had to read as approachable before anyone noticed the twin blades at her hips. The red streaks in her otherwise black hair became the one loud detail on an intentionally quiet silhouette, a small warning flag on someone built to be underestimated. Her weapons went through the most iterations of anyone in the cast: too long and she read as a swordfighter, too short and the threat disappeared entirely.
